Dr. Chayim Barton

May 8, 1954 - Nov. 14, 2013


Dr. Chayim Barton passed on the evening of November 14, 2013. Chayim was a beautiful husband to Shamaya, father to Yakov and his fiancé Cynthia, son to Stan and Sharon, Brother to Dan and Lynn, and a healer, a shaman, a leader, a sailer, a backpacker, a ski bum, an adventurer, a performer, a psychologist, and an inspiration to all he touched. He was a fixture in our lives who we have admired and loved deeply. He was unique, a man of creativity and pure joy. He loved the sacred and the absurd.


He fought for many hours to recover from a bicycle accident he suffered on the way to work. Unlike Chayim, he couldn't win that battle. He was 59 years old.
